welcome from chair

On behalf of Churches of Christ in Queensland, I welcome you to our 2015-16 Annual Report.

It has been a full, exciting and encouraging year on many fronts. Our geographically and ministry diverse organisation continued to spread across Queensland, Victoria and Vanuatu. We provided contemporary missional and community services to countless communities and individuals, with a specialised focus on children, families and seniors.

Our work in these areas is often ‘unsung’ but this year we received recognition for a number of innovative things we do, from dementiaspecific church services to our Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.

Just like Churches of Christ in Queensland, our annual report continues to evolve and innovate each year. Recognising this constantly improving and quality publication, the Australasian Reporting Awards presented us with a Silver Award for our 2014-15 Annual Report.

This award is a testament to our annual report, but the 2015-16 Annual Report is a testament to the commitment of our church members, staff and volunteers. To each of you, I offer you my praise and blessing for the things you do each day to bring the light of Christ into communities.

No matter what your role or involvement is with Churches of Christ in Queensland, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised and uplifted by the stories in this annual report. I encourage you to read this Annual Report from cover to cover.
